Biodegradable PBAT resin pellets
Sustainability

Building India's Bridge to Compostable Packaging.

India's largest importer of PBAT. Certified compostable raw materials for manufacturers ready to transition from single-use plastics — same equipment, different impact.

The Regulatory Landscape

India's Plastic Rules Are Tightening Every Year.

The Single-Use Plastics ban is just the start. EPR obligations, thickness mandates, and traceability requirements are reshaping the supply chain. Your raw materials need to keep up.

2022

SUP Ban

21 single-use plastic items banned nationwide. Carry bags under 75 microns prohibited, raised to 120 microns by December.

2024

New Standards

Separate definitions for biodegradable vs compostable plastics. IS 17899 introduced for biodegradable-only claims. CPCB certification mandatory.

2025

Traceability

QR/barcode labelling requirements for plastic packaging begin July 2025. Recycled content mandates under EPR take effect.

2028

Full EPR

Extended Producer Responsibility fully phased in. Recycling targets, end-of-life disposal caps, and recycled content mandates at full enforcement.

What We Supply

Certified Compostable. Ready to Process.

Drop-in replacements for conventional PE films. No line modifications. Same blown film equipment, same output — fully compostable end product.

PBAT pellets
Flagship

PBAT

Flexible, tough, compostable copolymer. The go-to resin for manufacturers replacing single-use PE films. Processes on standard blown film equipment at 140–170°C. Decomposes into CO₂, water, and biomass under industrial composting — 90%+ biodegradation within 180 days.

EN 13432 • ASTM D6400 • IS/ISO 17088
PLA pellets
Biobased

PLA

100% biobased thermoplastic derived from corn and sugarcane starch. Rigid, food-safe, and biocompatible. Ideal for disposable cutlery, food packaging, 3D printing filament, and medical devices. Lower carbon footprint than conventional plastics.

PBAT PLA blend
Blends

PBAT + PLA Compounds

Combining PBAT's flexibility with PLA's rigidity. Tailored blends for specific applications — from shopping bags to agricultural mulch film. Custom formulations available through our compounding subsidiary Jay Extrutech.

Bio-fillers
Cost Optimization

Bio-Fillers

Mineral and bio-based fillers (calcium carbonate, starch, cellulose) to reduce resin cost, increase stiffness, and improve dimensional stability. Maintains compostability while bringing economics closer to conventional materials.

Mineral • Starch • Cellulose
The Difference

180 Days, Not 400 Years.

Under certified industrial composting conditions, PBAT breaks down completely. Conventional polyethylene doesn't.

Biodegradable material composting in soil

Conventional PE

Decomposition 500+ years
End product Microplastics
Toxic residue Persistent
Carbon footprint ~6 kg CO₂/kg

PBAT (Compostable)

Industrial composting 3–6 months
End product CO₂ + Water + Biomass
Toxic residue None
Carbon footprint 18–32% lower

Composting data per EN 13432 testing protocol. PBAT does not biodegrade in marine environments.

The Full Picture

We Supply Both. Here's Why.

We sell PP, PE, PVC, and BOPP. We also sell PBAT, PLA, and bio-compounds. We don't pretend that makes us a green company — it makes us an honest one.

Not every application can switch to compostable today. Structural pipes, automotive parts, industrial packaging — these still need conventional polymers. But where regulation demands it, where the material works, and where the economics make sense, we make the switch simple.

Through Bhavya Polyfilms, we import and stock certified compostable resins at scale — so when your production line is ready, the material is already in our warehouse.

“We're investing in biodegradable compounds because the industry needs it — not because it's trendy.”
Beyond Biodegradable

Recycled Plastics. Less Virgin, Less Waste.

Reprocessed recycled plastic granules for manufacturers looking to reduce virgin material consumption. A practical step towards circularity — available alongside our full polymer range.
