Polybutylene Adipate Terephthalate — a fully biodegradable co-polyester that processes on your existing PE equipment. The drop-in replacement for conventional low-density polyethylene.
PBAT combines the flexibility and processability of conventional PE with genuine end-of-life compostability. No line modifications. No new tooling. Just a material swap.
Processes on standard blown film extrusion, injection moulding, and thermoforming equipment at 140–170°C barrel temperature.
Meets EN 13432 (EU) and ASTM D6400 (US) standards. Decomposes into CO₂, water, and biomass under industrial composting — 90%+ within 180 days.
India's SUP regulations (2022) prohibit conventional PE carry bags and films. PBAT is a fully compliant, CPCB-approved alternative.
High elongation at break (500–800%) and impact strength make PBAT ideal for flexible film applications that demand durability and tear resistance.
Blends readily with PLA, starch, and other biopolymers. PBAT adds toughness to brittle biodegradable resins — the ideal blending partner.
Global biodegradable plastics market expanding rapidly. Manufacturers adopting PBAT gain a competitive edge as regulations tighten worldwide.
Shopping bags, garbage liners, and agricultural mulch films. Direct replacement for LDPE bags banned under India's SUP regulations.
Food-grade wraps, pouches, and cling films. Safe for direct food contact with certified compostability at end of life.
PBAT+PLA and PBAT+starch blends for enhanced mechanical properties. PBAT adds flexibility to brittle biopolymers.
Biodegradable cutlery, straws, and plates. Meets regulatory requirements for food-service disposables across India and export markets.
